Entrepreneurship Promotion

Science & Technology Entrepreneur’s Park (STEP):

This has been established in the campus of Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Nawabganj, Kanpur under the joint efforts of Dept. of Science & Technology, Government of India, Central Financial Institutions, Dept. of Industries, Government of UP Council of Science & Technology, UP has also provided financial support to this park.
This park acts as training institute-cum-Consultancy Centre for youths willing to establish small scale industrial set ups.

Conduct of Short term Training Programmes :

1.Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC):

Objective:
To create an awareness among students of Engineering and Science courses and or unemployed science & engineering background youths about various facets of entrepreneurship as an alternative career option as also to highlight merits of persuing such an option.

Target Group:
Unemployed youths (preferably Science & Technology background) or those who are final year Diploma/Degree students in Engineering/ Technology/Science courses.

Age: 18 to 35 years.
Batch: 50 trainees.
Duration: 02 to 06 Working days.

2.Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP):

Objective:

To provide specialized training in any one of the Science & Technology sector so that the trainee can establish a business activity/industrial venture and become self dependent & in turn could provide employment opportunities to others.

Target Group:
Unemployed Science & Technology Diploma/Degree holders.

Age: 18 to 35 years.
Batch: 25 trainees.
Duration: 01 to 06 Weeks.

3.Skill Development through Science & Technology (SDST):

Objective:
To provide practical/on job training in the area of identified S&T trade depending upon the potential, demand and or need.

Target Group:
Unemployed youths (Minimum High School having background of Science).
Age: 18 to 35 years.
Batch: 25 trainees.
Duration: 01 to 08 Weeks depending upon the nature of the trade.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Faculty:

Mostly experts drawn from local or nearby institutions including practicing entrepreneur’s with educational background in Science & Technology.

Budget:

The total budget for the training Programmes on different subheads viz Publicity, Course Material, Honorarium to Experts, Factory Visit, Raw Material, Travel for Outstation Experts, Follow-up, Miscellaneous etc. shall depend on the training inputs to be provided in the Programmes


Submission of Proposal:

The recognized institutions having sufficient expertise and infrastructure can submit the proposal for conduct of training Programmes on the format given below:
