Research in Chosen Areas

Research and Development (R&D) activities in various areas of Science and Technology produce new scientific or technological knowledge, which are useful in solving the technological problems of the state and in daily lives of the common people. Uttar Pradesh is having several institutions of scientific and technical education and research in various fields, institution of higher education and research in chemical, physical and biological sciences, medical colleges and institutes, agricultural and allied institutes, polytechnics and technical institutions, engineering institutions and centres of specialized research. The expertise and research facilities of these institutions in various disciplines of science and technology are utilized to undertake problem oriented research and development programmes for the state.

To promote research and development programmes in the state, technically viable research schemes / projects in various disciplines of Science & Technology: Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Pollution Abatement, Plant Sciences, Earth Sciences, Agricultural Sciences , etc. with time bound result-oriented programme are sponsored by the Council in various universities, institutions, medical colleges, Degree Colleges, Engineering Colleges, and R&D Organisations located in Uttar Pradesh. These R&D Programmes are useful in upliftment of scientific and technological status of the state by providing opportunity to individual scientists to carry out problem – oriented-research programmes in their respective fields.
